Ni Hao China!!!

I'VE MADE IT!!

After all the stress of moving and packing, and travelling for days and days.. I have made it to my new home for the next semester in Zongshan China! Im living in China as a teacher with the International Language Program. I can already tell this was absolutely the right decision for me.

It was a pretty stressful trip to get here, the first 2 or 3 days are kinda a blur to me! Really really long flights, lots of waiting in the airports, trying to carry all our bags through customs, into buses, boats, and taxis. We had an awesome opportunity to go to Hong Kong on a 2 day trip

before we had to go to our schools, and that was pretty cool! Actually, its just cool I can say Ive been to HongKong. The city in itself wasnt all its cracked up to be... just another big city, with lots of asians. We saw some pretty views and had fun shopping, but I am SO relieved and happy to be in mainland China, all settled in our apartment now!

We were only in Hong Kong 2 days, but we jam packed a lot in those days, and were still pretty jet-lagged and getting used to the 12 HOUR time difference.. it was pretty exhausting, but oh so fun! We now are in ZONGSHAN... mainland china.. it is sooo different than Hong Kong.

I instantly loved it here, and feel so at home. The people are the most generous people Ive ever met, and so happy and kindhearted. We started teaching last week, and Ive never fallen in love with kids so fast. If you know me, (umm and you probably should if your reading this?) You know that I just love the heck out of kids. But theres something about these kids here, that make my heart sink more than ever before. Ive only been here a little over a week, and have loved every minute of it, I am so excited for the next 4 months of my life here, and all the adventures!!
